UK Recession Inevitable Under Government Policy

The government policy of aggressive cuts to spending and raising taxes has led to an inevitable decline in economic conditions. Conservatives will argue that they have inherited a huge deficit from the previous Labour government who’s attempts to spend their way out of trouble failed miserably.

The speed of the cuts is seen by many as excessive but is clearly a result of political jousting. The savage cuts can be blamed on Labour whilst their mistakes are still fresh in voters minds. This will pave the way for increased spending in the build up to the next election so that the Conservatives can show that they have led us out of recession.
