Ministers receptive to plans for Boris Island

The government have displayed enthusiasm for new engineering projects in the UK. First they announced plans for the High Speed 2 Railway project between London and Birmingham will go ahead. Now the government is discussing the proposal for a new airport to be built on the Thames Estuary. The project has been dubbed “Boris Island” after mayor Boris Johnson who has been pushing for the new development.
