Eurozone Update –October 2012

The sovereign debt crisis and the banking crisis are very closely interlinked. The EU has the prospect of facing a lost decade much like Japan in 2000 and Latin America in the 1980’s. Fears of a bank run could spark economic turmoil in the Eurozone and could lead to the breakup of the Euro. The prospect of further money printing by the ECB is regarded as very high.
